The Centre de Meteorologie Marine of Meteo-France provides, among other services, Data Buoys Quality Control facilities.
 
The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) is one of the parent bodies of the Data Buoy Co-operation Panel (DBCP).
 
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) maintains a list of Port Meteorological Officers useful to IBPIO to find deployment opportunities.
The Joint WMO-IOC Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (JCOMM) provides the international, intergovernmental coordination, regulation and management mechanism for an operational oceanographic and marine meteorological observing, data management and services system.
 
The JCOMM in situ Observing Platform System center (JCOMMOPS) is providing support support at the international level for the implementation and monitoring of geo-physical oceanographic and marine observations from drifting buoys, moored buoys in the high seas, ships of opportunity, and sub-surface profiling floats.
 
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) is maintaining a VOS website for JCOMM.
