Description: During Easterly transit of the Arabian sea at around 21.00 SMT it was noticed that the breaking wave tops were glowing bright green. Further observation revealed a faint glowing around the vessels hull and wake and very bright flashes where the bow wave was breaking against the sea waves. The sea was rough at the time with a force seven SW'ly wind present. Bright green flashes could be seen where ever a wave broke, in other words everywhere! This phenomenon lasted for the next hour after which it gradually faded away.
The vessel was steering 105° (T) at a speed of 25 Knots.
